• • It's funny how you mention entropy and thermodynamics when they have nothing to do with it. A folded shirt is exactly the same as a crumpled one, entropy-wise. Besides, The dryer turns electrical energy into heat and movement, so there is no issue of "free energy".

    However, the statement is still untrue, because there is absolutely no reason to suspect the state of the clothes is actually random, since the dryer makes a regular motion that doesn't allow for certain things to happen (like the one pictured).

    I hate to be a buzzkill and I would've laughed if the caption

    was something like "how awesome would this be". But when people just use random, unrelated or inapropriate physics "explanations", I get annoyed.
