How To Make A Simple Plywood Canoe

I have to say that the build tutorial for this three piece, flat-bottom canoe is one of the best build tutorials I have ever come across! Now I am not going to say this is an easy build, but by normal canoe building standards, this is a

very simple canoe to build. It is essentially built from 3 pieces of marine plywood (the two sides and the bottom). If your DIY skills are pretty good, and you can measure and cut straight this shouldn’t be too difficult to build.

I am not sure how much a canoe like this would cost to buy, but I am guessing it is at least $500, probably a lot more. The only real costs here are your time and the plywood, glue and paint. I think you could bring in your bespoke handmade canoe for a fraction of the price of buying one… Check out the awesome tutorial below and see how it’s done. The finished canoe is quite beautiful!
