Skien Quilted Puffer Vest
I was so excited to see that Layla had included the Skien Quilted Puffer Vest from Andrew Marc ($98) in my November Stitch Fix box. I’ve been searching for the perfect vest for over a year and I loved the idea of a puffer vest in a sharp red color.
I slipped the vest over a black and white striped top (similar here), my BlankNYC jeans (a closet staple!) and my black riding boots.
The vest was very cute, but it was a little larger on me than I wanted. I felt a bit like I was swimming in it. And the red was a little on the bright side. I’m still open to the idea of a red vest, but I think I would prefer a deeper shade of red in a more tailored fit. Sadly, the Skien Quilted Puffer Vest went back to Stitch Fix.
Henrietta Dress
The final item in my November Stitch Fix box was the Henrietta Dress from Maggy London ($118). This classic dress didn’t need very much help from me in the style department. I kept thing simple and wore it with a pair of round toe black patent leather heels, a string of pearls, and a Loren Hope cuff bracelet (similar here).
This dress was exactly my style. I love a fit and flare dress because they perfectly compliment my body type. This dress had great structure and was a perfect fit without any alterations. And the bold floral print, LOVE!
I love Maggie London dresses and I instantly searched around online to see if this dress is available outside of Stitch Fix. The good news is that YES, it is! The bad news is that it costs a lot more on the Nordstrom website (PS it also comes in petite).
It physically pained me to return this beautiful dress to Stitch Fix. Rob and I have zero dressy events on our calendar for the next several months, which is such a shame. I kept trying to talk myself into keeping it and I’m certain Rob was surprised that I had the willpower to return this beauty. It was that great of a dress!
If you love this dress as much as I do, you should go ahead an pin it right now. Then wear it somewhere special, post a photo online and please tag me. I would love to live vicariously through you!
